PHILOSOPHY

The “Baroness” is housed within a newly renovated neoclassical building, emboding a legacy that transcends generations. Owned by three generations of women, each a proud inheritor of Callicounis Craft Distillery-the oldest distillery in Greece.
Inspired by the Dada art movement and the spirit of Elsa Baroness von Freytag-Loringhoven, one of the most controversial and radical women artists of her era, the house becomes a canvas inviting guests to experience a blend of comfort and reverie.
Our logo, a representation of Dada-inspired chaos and female expression, it is a tribute to the audacious women who challenged societal norms, and it symbolizes our commitment to fostering a creative environment.
One of the most enchanting aspects of the Baroness is its unique concept of room versatility. Beyond serving accommodation, each room has been designed to be a space where events and gatherings can unfold in a manner that would make Elsa herself proud. From exhibitions to performances our rooms become a stage for your own artistic expression.
Baroness is a destination where history, art, and innovation converge, where rooms may transform into spaces for creativity, and where every sip tells a story of heritage and passion. Welcome to the house of The Baroness.
